Type Locality and Naming

Chen Guangyuan, Zhang Kai, Xu Hongyou and others named it in 1943. The named section is located in Pujia Village, Pinglang Mining Area, Lufeng County, Yunnan Province.


Lithology and Thickness

It is mainly composed of gray white, dark gray, gray brown to yellow brown, gray black and other colors of sandstone, siltstone with mudstone, shale and feldspar quartz sandstone, sand conglomerate, with coal seam in the upper part.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

At the bottom, the fine conglomerate or iron cap and siderite nodules are in unconformable contact with the underlying Fukunyang Gr [Not in current Lexicon]

Upper contact

The top is in false conformable contact with the overlying Ganhaizi Fm yellow-brown massive conglomerate.
